About Us

Thank you for stopping by! My name is Mel and I am a designer and maker. From my London studio, I make a range of happy handmade lights in a rainbow of colours.

I was born into a family of makers, learning upholstery from my grandfather, sewing and tapestry from my grandmother and spinning and weaving from my mother. Craft is well and truly in my blood!

After spending 10 years working in the fashion industry and inspired by my family life, I made the decision to get back to what I loved - making! Using many of the tools passed down from generations, I found myself mixing the old with the new and launching a range of bespoke knitted upholstery.

You can usually find me in my natural habitat; at my spinning wheel in my London based studio, hand-making every product and sprinkling a touch of magic over my unique and beautifully crafted collection of lighting.
